I recently had the pleasure of tasting an excellent Greek dessert wine from The Wine Society, Samos Anthemis 2017. The experience was nothing short of divine. So, I set out to find the perfect dessert to accompany it. Last week, I found a match made in heaven—carrot cake from The Little Cake Company. The wine’s sweet, golden nectar and the cake’s moist, flavorful layers danced on my palate, creating a symphony of flavours. It was a truly unforgettable experience. I suggested that The Wine Society get in touch with this great little cake maker to find other perfect dessert matches. There is no better wine experience in my book than a dessert and a wine in perfect harmony.
